Le LGDP recrute : 1 poste de Maître de conférences - voir rubrique NEWS • Director: Prof. Manuel Echeverria [dir.lgdp(at)univ-perp.fr] Université of Perpignan Via Domitia (UPVD). • Vice-Directeur: Dr. Alain Ghesquière IRD (Montpellier). General PresentationThe Plant Genome and Development Laboratory ("Laboratoire Génome et Développement des Plantes" or LGDP) is committed to research and training on plant genome organisation and gene regulation, particularly their role in plant development and adaptation to biotic and abiotic stress. It is supported by three public institutions: the University of Perpignan (UPVD), the Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the Institut pour la Recherche et le Développement (IRD). The LGDP is located on two sites: at the University of Perpignan, and the IRD campus in Montpellier. The LGDP has a staff of around 80 persons employed by the three supporting institutions; about 50 permanent staff - Professors (PR) and Associate Professors ("Maître de Conférences", MdC) from the UPVD, group leaders (Directeur de Recherche, DR) and senior scientists (Chargé de Recherche, CR) from the CNRS or IRD, technicians and engineers – and 30 non-permanent staff, Phd students and post-doc fellows. In the LGDP there are eleven teams, each directed by a group leader, working on five main research themes. These themes are closely related and interactive, all using functional genomics based approaches and molecular tools in the model plants Arabidopsis thaliana, rice and also in maize. The five main research themes are :Analysis and evolution of plant genomes (3 teams)Functional genomics of rice-pathogen interactions (2 teams) Redoxins (1 team) Seed development and embryogenesis (2 teams) Transcriptional and post transcriptional gene regulation (3 teams) Services :technical and administrative services accompany the research teams and teaching. |
